The NZPSA | TKTTOA 50th anniversary symposium went ahead on Thursday 28 November in Ōtautahi Christchurch. It was wonderfully inspiring to hear from some of our founding members in the place where the Association was founded in 1974, as well as the next generation of young scholars who showed remarkable clarity and insight in speaking on future directions. The three panel sessions were recorded and will be posted here once they have been edited, along with photos expertly taken by Nigel Roberts throughout the day!
Thanks also to Bronwyn Hayward for taking the group photo above at the end of the event and to Geoff Ford, Lin Mussell and students from the Political Science and International Relations Master’s programmes at UC for assisting with technology, registrations, and other things during the event.
We can all be proud of the history of this Association and reassured that it will continue to be a vital hub for the interaction and engagement of political studies scholars around Aotearoa New Zealand for many years to come.
