Women Talking Politics - 2026 Call for Papers

Kia ora koutou,

A quick reminder that submissions for the 2026 edition of Women Talking Politics are currently open, with submissions due by 15 July.

This year’s theme, Resistance and Resilience, invites contributors to consider this tension during a time of urgency and contestation.

We welcome work from scholars, students, activists, practitioners, and creatives, including:
  • research articles
  • commentary pieces
  • dissertation reports
  • research abstracts
  • poetry and creative work
We are especially keen to encourage submissions from early-career researchers, postgraduate students, and contributors from diverse and underrepresented communities.

As this year’s issue will launch at the 2026 Conference for the Social Sciences: He Kai Kei Aku Ringa, we also invite contributions from the wider sociology community.

If you have work in progress that might fit, we would love to hear from you.
Submission details and full call for papers are available here.

Please feel free to circulate this call through your networks.

Ngā mihi,
