International Indigenous Research Conference: Submission Deadline Extended

Subscriber,

Abstract submissions for the 2026 International Indigenous Research Conference have been extended to 11.59pm, Friday 17 July 2026.

Please click here to access to the submissions portal.

This year's conference theme is Kei tua o te pae | Beyond the Horizon

This theme challenges researchers to ensure their work goes beyond insight and contributes to enduring, Indigenous-led impact. Conference presentations and activities should show how research supports wellbeing, self-determination, and flourishing futures.

IIRC26 invites submissions that show how research and practice move from insight into action and impact. Authors are encouraged to show how their work transforms; from evidence into policy, from community knowledge into practice, and from aspiration into action. Abstracts should present research that is bold, grounded, and future-focused, with a strong emphasis on lasting transformation rather than just the expansion of knowledge.
